I'm looking at getting a new fuel pump for my 383.It's a 68 block in a 70 RR...is the 440 pump similar?Will it fit?Is it the same type of pump only a higher volume?I sure could use some advice on this one...I would hate to get the wrong pump...any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks

Sorry to hear about your dad but it is a great story keeping that old Bird alive and Q5 is pretty rare.Great color as well.Incredible what great condition that floor is in.I've just done my first bit of restoration on my 70RR which was kept to the engine compartment but it was a blast...enjoy...
It's official !!! The MSD Pro-Billet distributor fits but it's a close fit.I'm running an Edelbrock DP4b intake and with no carb spacer the hood fits like a glove...tragedy averted !!!

It's official...my air grabber hood fits like a glove with the Edelbrock DP4b...though I can't run any kind of carb spacer.I had a 1/4 inch spacer,more like a larger gasket to act as a heat barrier between intake and carb but it wouldn't fit.Yes,removing the gasket made things work.Now to see if...
Anyone out there with a 70 Roadrunner,air grabber equipped car running an MSD Pro-Billet Distributor?I'm thinking of getting the MSD ignition for my 70 air grabber car but I'm worried that the distributor is too tall and won't fit with the air box,etc.Anyone have any info on this set-up please...

Guys thanks for the input...the car might see a night or two at the local track for the street legal drags but other than that it's on the street.I'm figuring vac sec. is the way to go but find a carb that's tunable.I was looking at the Quick Fuel line...pretty nice stuff.

One quick note and I learned this one the hard way...if you're replacing the studs put hi-temp thread sealant on the studs before screwing them in as they go right into the water jacket and you'll have a nice stream of coolant (which is why I test fired my engine with only water) running down...
