I see that the roof has been cut, but I’m wondering if you still have any of the headliner bows. These would be the exposed bows for a cardboard headliner. I think they are four across and then one for each C pillar. I am mainly interested in the structural bow part not so much the chrome cover...
Mine was a generic plate that needed a lot of careful trimming to get it into the right place.
One thing I made sure to do is to get the plate trimmed exactly right so that when the plate was sitting on the frame rails the crank was located correctly THEN I drilled holes thru both the brackets...
I was re-doing my drag car from one moto plate to another. Cut the mounts off in between so basically started at same point as if you cut off your mounts. I found dimensions for centerline of crank. Pretty sure TTI header instructions specified that location. I assembled a bare block & trans...
Before I shot the Restoration Shop stuff, I had grabbed a water neck and painted it with a spray can of Hemi Orange I had around; thinking it was Duplicolor but not sure. Here is that compared to the Restoration Shop's Too Red Hemi Orange
Yes, I've read that a fair amount as well that body EV2 Hemi orange is not engine Hemi Orange. I'm not sure that I've ever seen anyone put up a legit Dupont color code for engine Hemi orange. In any case it's super close. And much better than the "too red" I started with
I needed to paint an engine for a Roadrunner and I decided to take a shot at TCP Global's 'The Restoration Shop' series. http://www.tcpglobal.com/Restoration-Shop/ in Hemi Orange.
The paint is an acrylic urethane that mixes 4:1 and I sprayed is without any additional thinning. I liked the...
Thanks for the encouragement guys! Overall, the job is going along pretty smoothly. I've ended up touching a lot more of the car than I expected, but each piece refurb/prep is going along pretty smoothly. I'd hoped to be back & running by October, but that's not going to happen; hoping now...
I wanted to share with you all a 69 RR project I'm working on. A college friend of mine went into the Marine Corp immediately after we graduated from VMI in 1993. At that time, his 69 RR went into storage in a barn/shed thing in Ohio. For the last 25 years he's been off doing Marine things...
Super crew out there. I've bought one street car trans from them (which is an amazing piece) and lots of guts for my race trans. Always helpful and willing to talk through my combo to ensure we'll get what I want. And REALLY nice quality parts.
I accidentally bought the wrong armrest bases at Carlisle this year. I realized this last night as soon as I cut the bag open. These are new repros purchased form Vans Auto in July 17. They've not been out of the bag but the bag is cut open.
My mistake, your win. 50+shipping from 24467.
Just grabbed a few shots from a 66 Plymouth manual. It shows a curved lever:
The manual is slightly unclear on which trans/engine the view is.
So the next question: Anyone have a curved lever lying in a drawer somewhere?
Hey guys. I'm posting this here in the 66-up area because I converted my 65 Belvedere to lever shift transmission. I got a column and most all linkage out of a 66 car. All parts came from a 66 except for the shift lever on the trans; that piece came off of a 340 challenger but I have no idea...
RS23VOA & I have for sale a 66 Dodge Coronet 440 four door roller. This was someone else's restoration project that was cut short after it was started. The car is all apart, but seems to be all there along with some extras.
There is a lot of prep work done. The underside of the car has...
Thanks guys. Build date sounds like the likely source of the difference.
I just put a 66 column in my 65 car. The 65's, of course, had the slender style, although partially painted. The 67 & later type looks out of place in the 65. Already had the 65 lever out of that column and the...
OK, we all know that harbor freight is handy, but you gotta be aware of what you're buying. I found a safe bet there a few weeks ago.
727TF's are kind of a pain to move around and store in the shop. I found this handy little furniture cart at my local store on sale for $8. Heck, you can't...
