This amount of misalignment may not bother operation if you are not driving aggressively. Belt drives can work with small misalignment, not ideal but, it will depend on RPM.

Not really. Chrysler used the same style gaskets through out the B engine production. Did your machinist finish for the steel gaskets or composition type gaskets?

Up in my neighborhood it used to get down as low as -40* and tens of thousands of people would drive their standard transmission vehicles to work on those cold mornings!

I just wanted to add a tip for fellas using the Autometer water temp gauge (electric). Buy another sender unit for the trans and wire the two senders to a DPDT toggle switch. Now you have one temp gauge to read either coolant or transmission fluid.

Did it shift OK before the reseal? Who replaced the seals? Was it a quick and dirty seal job? Could be a dirt issue. You need to check pressures to properly diagnose your issues. Were the clutch seals replaced too? We need lots of info here!

I first learned about driveline angles in 1970 after braking two extension housings and a bell housing! I had a 63 Savoy with a 59 413 and "cast iron" torque flite. Some of my dad's buddies did the swap for me while I was at school. I was studying drive lines at the time!

So, you still have the B&M selector lever? But did not retain the OEM lever?

Do you mean the slapstick does not have enough stroke from P to 1st so, the leverage is not there? That is confusing as everything below P should also be affected by the incorrect leverage ratio.
