    Swapping Knuckles Side to Side

When using a factory E Body front-mounted caliper disc brake setup (knuckles, rotors, and calipers) to convert a '69 and earlier B Body to disc brakes with a rear-mounted caliper setup, can you just swap the knuckles side to side to get the calipers in the correct orientation? Thanks!

    Source for manual steering boxes?

So I found a good place to do the alignment on my Satellite. They tell me my manual steering box is all worn out and showed me the play up on the lift so I believe them. I bought it used on eBay and just put it as is. Do you guys know of any good sources besides Firm Feel, Steer and Gear...

Alignment Shop in North County of San Diego?

What's your major malfunction dude? Since I wasn't happy, they didn't charge me a penny, so there is no beef or case for the BBB. If you don't have anything helpful to add to this thread, then just move along please. If someone local wants to PM to know the shop to avoid bringing your Mopar...

Alignment Shop in North County of San Diego?

I had a horrible experience at a shop in Oceanside last Saturday that shall remain nameless. Can someone please recommend a shop in the North County area of San Diego county that has experience aligning old Mopars? Prefer a crusty, crabby old guy who is at least 60 years old who has been...

    Super Stock spring question

I will say that mine make the right side sit up higher than the left. I raced it for awhile that way and it worked really well, I was able to get some really decent 60 foot times. Then, read some stuff online about raising your driver's side torsion bar up to make the rear end sit level. I...

    Super Stock spring question

I must have the worthless Mexican springs because my ride height is pretty much the same.

    Super Stock spring question

I have these exact same springs on my '67 Satellite and I can tell you that they didn't add much additional height at all compared to my ancient stock springs that I took off. So if that is your reason for running them, you might want to rethink that.

    Caliper Question

I have a disc brake setup from a 1970 Challenger on my '67 Satellite that originally came with drums. I'm replacing my calipers with new ones. As I was taking off my old ones I noticed that are missing these two parts, both listed as anti-rattle clips on...

    Disc Brake ID Help

I had my '67 Satellite converted to front disc brakes over ten years ago. I was told the donor parts (spindles, rotors, and calipers) came from a '70 Challenger. When I had my car out last weekend, I noticed the brakes on the right side dragging really bad and confirmed (I think) the right...

    Pulled Trigger on 67 GTX

Come to think of it, I did do some rolling of my quarter panel lips with the 15X8s, but I know for a fact that 255/60-15s will work on 15X7 "cop wheels" because that's what I ran before I rolled the quarter panel lips and they didn't rub. I think the cop wheels are 4 and 1/4" back spacing...

    Pulled Trigger on 67 GTX

255/60-15s on 15X8s will fit on the back with no rubbing if the back spacing is right. 7" rims will pull the sidewalls in a little more for more clearance than 8" rims. But I have had 255/60-15s on both 7" and 8" rims on the back of my '67 Satellite with no rubbing.

disc conversion / keeping 14" stock wheels

I know that the stock-sized/diameter rotors will work with 14" wheels.

    Manual Steering

My '67 Satellite needed an adapter, I ended up using the Flaming River one.

    Manual Steering

The first time I converted a car ('72 Challenger) I got one from a junkyard. For my Satellite, I got a used one from eBay. It works fine.

Adding Pinion Angle When Moving Mounts

I changed mine using shims. You have to measure the angle with the weight of the car, and ideally the driver's weight, on the suspension. So you would have to figure out how to work around that since the rear is out of the car right?

    67 Satellite suspension

A lot depends on how you want to use the car when you are done. I'm going to tell you what I did when I did the same exact motor swap with the same exact car. First, I converted from the factory drum brakes to disc brakes in the front. Next, I replaced every possbile thing that could be...

Never start a car by sticking your hand through the steering wheel to turn the key

Anytime my car is running when I'm not sitting behind the wheel (checking trans fluid level, adjusting timing, adjusting idle, etc...) I'm really on edge, expecting the worst to happen.

Best bang for the buck.....suspension upgrades

From your list I would say the tubular upper control arms because I think they give you more adjustment for caster than the stock ones. Also, like someone else mentioned the 11/16" tie rod ends are good bang for the buck. For my car, which is more of a straight-line street/strip car, I didn't...

SS springs and drag shocks question!

Do some poking around on rockauto.com. I think the early '70s C Body shocks are what you want.
