To break it down for you to decide what you would like best:
Your current tire is 225mm wide x .70 tall = 157.5mm tall sidewall height
Options you are considering:
245mm wide x .60 tall = 147mm sidewall height
235mm wide x .70 tall = 164.5mm sidewall height
With a 14" wheel, I personally...
You want to go as 'big' as possible or as 'wide' as possible"? Several parts to the equation:
- What's the back spacing of the rim you are using?
- What's the width of said rim?
- Do you want all 4 tires the same width, or a bit narrowed on the front?
- Approx how high/ low do you want the...
It's not a waste of time if it's building a good rapport with the owner and his son. One never knows what may happen in the next year...5 years...10 years.

With an offer like that, I don't think he was considering any profit margin...just a chance to fulfill a dream of...
So the factory molded piece provides no insulation? Why did they bother to spend the money and install it then? Seems it would do nothing more than cut into their profit margin.
As for 'all that money', the cheap stuff is $35 and the factory molded look is $94.
While the molded is higher priced, the fit and finish compared to the 'cheap stuff' is night and day. The cheap stuff looks like 'construction insulation' when done.
I would leave it in place...even if it doesn't work. Rarely do you see cars this old with original, factory a/c. Working or not, it adds to the interest under the hood! As for re-sale. A buyer would much rather have it in place and in tact than a box of parts they are 'told' are all there...
That looks like the courtesy light that is under my dash on the passenger side. It mounts to the bottom edge of the dash with a sheet metal screw and shines down on the passenger foot well area...comes on when the dome lights do...(my Belvedere II has the 'sconce' lights on the insides of the...
Seats look great! Unfortunately, they make the lap belt look worn out. There are places that can re-web the belts though...

I just don't get this mindset. This is what the followers do. I walk down the show car lines at Carlisle looking at the mid-sixties Mopars that have been redone. 95plus percent have done as you said, replaced their Poly for some gas guzzling big block that they can hardly drive due to needing...
As one who has been down this road I agree, prices for machine work & internal parts are comparable for other small blocks. If someone quotes you otherwise they are falsely jacking the price. Many parts interchange with the LA motors. Search Gary Pavlovich on this site and contact him with a...
I also sent mine to Glenn a couple years ago. At the time, he took a bit longer than I was quoted, but I was very pleased with the results. I would use him again.
Removing the gauge cluster gives you easier access to removing the old harness & laying in the new harness. Much easier sitting up vice lying on your back...
I think the pipes just may not be installed correctly...they look too low. I would think some adjustments at the hangers would tuck everything up where it should be? That would simply be time spent under the car (free$$)! Good luck with the vibration.
Front tires look a bit 'heavy' IMO, but fine. I'm guessing you went same size all the way`round so you can get the full benefits of tire rotation...I wouldn't change them for sake of appearance.
