Well, Gents....
Much to my displeasure the gauge broke again. I guess that little wire on the inside is more brittle than I thought. It snapped right at the soldered joint.
Major bummer
I created a WTB ad if any of you guys have one lying around...
I finally finished rewiring my 63'. Everything forward from the firewall was replaced with new color-coded wires. I found an impressive amount of electrical cobblery once I cut the old loom off. Between the cracked 60yr old wiring, shady splicing, and lack of grounding - it's a miracle this car...
It's painful to see that car rotting like that. I would cherish the hell out of that thing.
But this is America...A Man can do whatever he wants with his property. That's his right.
But it sucks. It downright sucks to see it happen

I pulled this off my voltage regulator. The wire is compromised and needs to be replaced. I was curious if anyone knows where I can get a replacement.
Thanks

The gas gauge in my car has never worked. The guy I bought it from said it hasn't worked since he bought it in 91'. So let's assume this thing hasn't functioned in roughly 40 years.
Today that changes....
I'm rewiring the entire car over this Winter, and part of that process...
Man, I've toiled over this for months. I have a set of nicely ported 906 heads and Vic intake on my shelf that I've considered using. It's tempting. I just don't know...
The thought of having a high RPM screamer is very tempting. But so is making it a quality driver that I can comfortably take...
After months of consideration, I've decided I'm going to rebuild the original 383 for this car. The 440 that's in it currently is awesome, but I think it would be pretty neat to put the original engine back in it mated to the T10. I'm not 100% sure if I'll keep it stock stroke, but the first...
I bet there are some max wedge gems in that shop. I'd love to do a walk through of the property.
Almost 8 acres for under 800k is a pretty solid price for Florida nowadays. Granted, it is right off of a highway.
I swapped emails with the listing agent on Dvorak's property this past Spring. She said that a lot of his old machinery and some parts are still inside of the building. It's part of the sale. The cars can be included within the sale as well.
Here's the MLS # and more photos of the building
MLS...
That's sad. Into the earth it goes.
This is America. A man can do whatever he wants with his possessions. Unfortunately those of us capable to restore them have to sit by and watch them deteriorate. So much wasted potential.
For the car's sake, I hope the guy actually fixes it. Too cool to...
Very good question. I'm eager to learn the differences as well.
I did read that the T10 was only used in 1963 with the Max Wedge. Evidently they had problems so they replaced it with the A833 in 64'. The Chrysler BW T10 is somewhat rare from what I gather.
When I got my 63' 330, the prior owner gave me the numbers matching 383 with it. The car currently has a 69' 440 in it along with the original BW T-10 4 speed. The 440 was installed by the original owner back in the 80s
My question is, since this wasnt a Max Wedge car, does having the...
