65HEMI...thx for the tip...I visited there today..great guys...went to both locations...they were able to make a functional hose...close to the same bends...but it would have to have too many connectors and just looked goofy.. Was looking to get it close to original looking.
Good Day All,
Looking for a replacement/aftermarket hose for the power steering pressure hose on my 68. The original part number is 2537981.
I see hoses that are listed as a fitment...but none that have the original geometry and curves on the steel lines as a replacement. I know OE are on...
Good Day All,
As the title says...power steering return line clamps...what was the OE Type?
I see some selling OE hoses and clamps with the "dirty red" Corbin clamps. I also see reproduction sets that include "bright red" squeeze clamps.
What was OE correct?
Thanks

Cool.
Being in the aviation world...LINK was also the name of the aircraft simulators that were used for military training way back. Surmising it is the same outfit.
hunt2elk...ok. That sheds a little more light on it. Again the picture above is just an example..but a charger. My 68 charger does not have them...that is why I am wondering what application years they were on, or if they were model specific?
The picture above is an example. The picture actually has the rubber insulator that the tab slips into. The piece i am referring to is the U shaped bracket. Thats the piece i am looking for information on. They are 2 different pieces.
I have seen this bracket above the exhaust tips on some cars (68/69)...and not on others.
What is the purpose of the bracket and on what car applications? What was the original finish?
Thanks
Took the rear seats out of my charger last night. Found a "metal band" with numbers stamped in it on both the rear and the bottom seat springs.
Sorry I don't have a picture..but does anyone know the purpose of the bands or if the numbers have significance?
yes. Was on the highway but would not stop the tire chirp when doing turns. Went onto a parking lot and went around and around...that is when it stopped!
So...ordered new clutches. Diff opened up and all gears etc cleaned out. Everything looked brand new once cleaned. (I think!). Installed them. Lots of oil and friction modifier on assembly. Back on the car. The tires were "skipping" on turns for the few bunch of miles but then everything all...
