You lose about a quart of fluid. Take it off and look at the gear. If it is good and it is set right for the tooth count then the issue must be the cable.Turning the pinion assembly engages the gear because different tooth counts are different diameters and the gear is offset to adjust for the...
Probably because for every hemi there are 100 440's being built. Availability of parts is the only logical explanation. Just the block and heads will set you back as much as an entire 440 build.
The k frame will work fine, all you need are the metal mounts that bolt to the engine. They are around 150 bucks from Mancini Racing. You will most likely find the limits of that rear end fairly quickly, so plan on an 8 3/4 upgrade soon.

If you are wondering about the strength of a Sterling, I have had one for 20 years. Mine is the 10.25 in 3.73. I have a 1997 f250 powerstroke with 240000 miles of hard pulling of campers , horse trailers , boats, cars and others I don't remember. It still is tight and will probably go to a...
That sucks! Wish you were closer I'd work on it for you. Have you thought about a roller cam? There might be some underlying problem, or maybe just bad luck in metallurgy.
