This place has them https://www.turntableneedles.com/Flat-Belt-Medium-121-Inch_p_103.html Transmission belt for motorola 1CH-4007. I actually bought a couple of spares from a place in Germany, Electro-Ersatzeile. But i couldn’t find the link in English again.
Thanks for the advice fella’s. Brake light ended up being a dodgy switch at the pedal.
You were right on the money Shorthorse. I unplugged the harness behind the kick panel and no longer got a false reading on the column. I wouldn’t have thought of the globes at all, so it’s nice to learn...
Hi all. I was trying to track down why my brake lights stopped working, and i was doing a continuity check on the white wire from the stop light switch into the indicator switch, to see if i had a break in the wire. I happened to touch the probe of the multimeter against the steering column as...
When you put the motor back on the car, test it through the dash switch before putting on the arms. Sometimes when bench testing you disconnect the power before the motor has cycled through its stages. If the motor wasn’t cycled back to park, and you put the arms on, it will pull the arms down...
Here's a test procedure for when you're done. Found it posted by someone doing the same thing a while back.
Test #1(Hi speed)
Connect jumper wire from motor case to battery ground.
Connect second jumper wire from battery positive to BROWN lead.
Motor should run hi speed continuously.
Test #2...
I repaired mine with some heat resistant 1-2mm fibre glass sleeving. Also got hold of some winding tape to keep it all together. I've got plenty left over if you want some. Should be able to wrap some tape around a dowel or something to get that to you as well if you like.
The second pic...
That's weird. If I remember right, when I got mine through YO you had a choice between two looms. That's why I counted the wires on the plug before ordering.
It was running off the old harness via a push button start under the bonnet. I've literally only just completed this in the last couple of days and attached to dash loom. When I ordered the engine harness I wasn't familiar with the 4 pin and 5 pin set up, so I just went off the wires coming out...
I removed the two blues from the double plug in pic 1 and crimped them together to make a single plug. The blue and the brown I just removed from the double plug and put them into a single as well. The green wire with the red tracer is not used. You can cut and tape up, or do as I did and remove...
That's good info Hawk. I've been looking at a couple of different ways of going about this lately for my gtx. It's good to have an explanation on how and why things are wired up. Well done.
That's the company alright Soundhd, but as Kiwigtx mentions they only sell the Chrysler harnesses through YearOne. I was surprised that they didn't attach a note saying which wires to exclude if the car is non Charger. They put a note with the harness saying to match it with the old before...
Just a bit of further info for those interested. I rang M & H who make the harness and they confirmed that the extra wires apply to the Charger. They use the same harness for both Charger and non Charger. They said if I just heat shrink over the extra connections to isolate them the harness will...
Since my original didn't have these I'm assuming that it didn't come equipped as you say. I've also added a wiring diagram which shows 2 green going into a headlamp delay relay, and the blue going into a voltage limiter. I really don't know how to read these things properly so I'm not sure how...
Dbl blue traces back to N position on bulkhead. Also connects to park brake light. The dbl green is connected to the lights somehow. The blue/yellow are connected either end but there must be a break in the other one as I can't seem to connect it with anything.
Hi Kiwi. As far as I can tell I got the correct one, everything else lines up with the old harness. I haven't tried to trace them yet against the diagrams I've got, was afraid of going crosseyed. Hoping that someone here would know.
Hi all. I recently purchased a new dash harness for my 70 gtx. It's got a couple of extra bits that the old one doesn't have. I've taken some photo's and hope that someone knows what they are. The two wires with the grommet near the firewall block, blue/yellow and black/red, and the one with the...
