Thanks for all that responded I've given it thought and decided not to get it I'll just go with my local cam guys at Schneider I've had good cams from them in the past thanks
I have a chance to get a new Racer Brown 590 cam that the sell has mushroom lifters ,both are new . I really know little about these lifters its a STX-22 grind 590-590 what are the pros and cons its going into a 64 dodge 330 with a 426 max wedge with hilborne injection any thoughts
in building a 64 330 its a old drag car the core support is removed and the firewall was moved back also the floor was modified . id like to take it to the track(antique drags, hot rod reunion etc) but dont know what it would be in tried looking at the NHRA rules but got a headach any help thanks
Im adding a straight axel to my 64 330 looks like i need to widen it about 3 inches as the leaf spring perches will be on the bend what is the acceptable width of a axel the fraim rails are 36 inches apart i got a straight axel andisc brake set up for a song
would like to know the pros and cons of running a Milodon external oiling system I have the stationary pick up but have a deal for the swing arm also suggestions and insite thanked
cutting down the cam to a livable lift is a good idea I would have never thought of it first time thinking of using a roller the price is very good for the cam and lifters that's why I was thinking of it thanks
I was looking at a set of max wedge but decided to much cost most likely 440 source stealth the pistons are aftermarket with valve notches I'd like to run e85 with injection or a tunnel ram and two 4,s in a 64 330 straight axel car 727
building a engine that will run e85 found a roller cam and lifters at a good price ,question is its in the 750 lift range ,ive never had a roller and the lift is way higher than ive been using is this a to big or just right cam
I agree I got swayed by the price I don't want to get in an area I have no understanding ,parts are in my opinion very exotic and needs a mech that has experience with them
