This is the worst cylinder, exhaust valve has sunk badly.... Valves were sunk in seven cylinders..
Apparently somebody patched this head close to thirty years ago they installed one exhaust seat..... Looks like they didn't do a very good job of cutting the pocket for the seat... Just hammered...
So, a buddy swapped out his water pump over the weekend & when he was done it was leaking worse than before he worked on it.... Not sure what the Mopar engineers were thinking when they designed this... The bolt pattern is symmetrical but the gasket isn't... So it's easy to get the gasket on...
Apparently the previous owner was a stripper... Thread stripper that is... Still need to do a little work but it's much better than when I started on it...
I'm looking at building a small block for a friend.. Currently he has a 340, it needs everything & we're talking about going to a stroker kit.... The one thought I have is using a 5.9/360 roller block rather than the 340.... Let the resto types buy the 340... So, what I'm finding is the 89-92...
