69/70 Charger

Bought someone's Project General

About this Mopar:

Bought this 70 Charger that was in process of being converted to a 69 , and General Lee... It had a 318/904 with a truck 9 1/4 rear. Rough interior. Now in my hands Goin the protouring route with it since it's already a mixed bag. Old driveline all gone . In process of putting kids thru University so project kinda slowed down , but this is where it's heading:
Whats been done so far, new front fenders, valence, hood, rear quarters tailpanel, trunk floor all AMD. US Cartool subframe connectors, torque boxes lower rad support inner fender supports. Have RMS Alterkation front and Streetlynx rear suspension is installed for mockup , 14" Wilwood front and 13" rears. Rear end is all new 9" .
Powertrain will be either a Hellcrate kit or Whipple 6.4 with T56 magnum still down the road.
At the moment removing undercoating , broken elbow so a left handed project when I get time ...
Next try find eng/Trans for mockup and tunnel surgery mock up ac maybe electric park brake... then media blast . Lol that's the plan for forseeable future...

Thanks for sharing, what an incredible project! You have far more patience than I...

Good Luck with your pro(touring)ject..PLEASE-no General Lee. That is way too played out IMHO...Use your own imagination and make it MoparCool...Dan

Why is it the people who end up with perfect turbine wheels never seem to use them? Great looking car!

I thought to myself when I bought it what a shame to not keep them, but they will be for sale sooner or later so someone will use them lol
