Cam swap and engine clean up

70 GTX 440 with trick flow 240 heads, Edelbrock performer RPM and TTI 1 7/8” headers

About this Mopar:

I swapped out my “purple shaft” 509 cam for a comp cams 491lift 236 duration cam. Edelbrock recommended a less duration cam to help it at low speed driving.

Looks great, r those trick flow heads, can't tell on pic. looks like I may have to invest in those heads.
Yep, power port 240 heads, comp cams 491 lift, comp roller tip rockers, tti headers, 1 7/8”, H pipe and 3 inch exhaust. It runs GREAT!! It’s a stock bottom end, flat top pistons, 800 cfm Edelbrock carb, 2200 stall converter and mopar electronic ignition. I added a hemi mechanical fuel pump as well. It was pretty good with the cast iron head/intake/exhaust manifolds but it wasn’t impressive and it kept running hot here in Texas. I also added 440 source water pump and water pump housing.

Also added 4 core aluminum radiator and twin electric fans. During cam break in and running it at 2,000-2,500 rpm for 30 minutes, it never got over 190 degrees.
