1963 Plymouth Fury Convertible

About this Mopar:

Looked good on the internet. 440 block, 426 max wedge heads and intake, 4 speed, 3:91 Sure-grip, new top, etc, etc. Lots of blue smoke while backing off the transporter. Started by pulling the intake to replace intake gaskets and it just grew into a complete resto-mod. All new wiring, cooling, interior, dash, switches, sound insulation, etc, etc.
Found tons of silicone in the oil pump pick-up. Glad I tore it down. Fired it up today and it sounds AWESOME! Can't wait to hit the streets.....it's a daily driver.

6/23/14: Continues to evolve. Over 2,000 miles now, getting a solid 10 mpg and running on 91 octane fuel. I really enjoy working on my car and engaging in conversations with folks who had similar cars 'back in the day'. Every drive is an adventure and you're sure to get a few thumbs up along the way. Tuning this motor to have good street manners has been interesting, but now it starts right up and after a few minutes of jazzing the throttle (getting some heat in the cross ram intake), it idles and responds great. Power disc brakes, power steering and A/C. What more could you ask for? Oh yeah, thanks to a member on here, I installed a power trunk popper. Wow! lol

5/09/18: I've made a lot of changes to the Fury. Wanted more of a 60s drag racing look so I mini-tubbed it and moved the springs in 3". Used a narrowed Moser fabbed housing and upgraded my pumpkin with an Eaton Detroit Truetrac and new 3:90 gear set. Added a 4 point roll bar for effect at the same time. Changed the wheel/tire combination to 15"X12" Billet Specialties with M/T 29" X 15" street radials and 15"X6" with 205/70R15 Coopers up front. Added Moser's rear disc package as well.
The other big change was going to FiTech fuel injection with a custom S/S tank with an internal fuel pump. Used all teflon lined S/S hose so now I can run E-85 if I want.
My car continues to get driven 4-5 times a week and I never get tired of the thumbs-up and conversations at the gas pump or stores.

What a gorgeous car--you've done an outstanding resto--stellar, "class A" show winner!

Dave,
You've done a beautiful job, car is gorgeous! The most recent things you did,(the 60"s drag look) really puts it over the top for me. Thumbs up!

Not one bad view but, that one back 3/4 view looking at those fatties on back is a thing to behold! Well done!

I really like what you've done with the last round of changes. Those big meats are sweet. I also like the 3-pt seat hooked on the rollbar.

Not many people have posted about moser 8.75. So I was wondering did you buy the 8.75 moser housing and axles package or the whole setup? And was it on moser’s site or summit? If it was the housing and axle package on summit...was it easy to assemble or did it require welding or anything?
