About this Mopar:

Welcome to the project I should never have started.

Hey Ken,
Well.......I got sidelined with another project (restoring a safe) and decided to sell the GTX and I'm working on getting that ready for either eBag or Carlisle. After it (hopefully) sells, I'm going to sell the Satellite and then I'll get back to this one. Whew.

These pictures certainly show some sincere slow work that they speak for there-selves in the quality of it all, Its a shame to sell it but from watching, and learning in the process im sure it will work out to your advantage, and honestly even though times are not there greatest, im certain it will sell! Good luck...

Great job! I have a lot to learn to do my 71 RoadRunner lol
Where did you get that blue body stand? Are plans available?
Thanks!

Hi Michel, I made the body jig and sorry, I didn't keep the plans as they were scratched out on the back of a cocktail napkin. There's a thread on here somewhere about it though. Basically, just get a frame spec chart for your car, pick your mounting points and build it from there. Make the corner braces angled so you can get under it and make it a bolt together affair so you can knock it down for storage/transport.

Pete, I came here sneaking around for photos that might giveaway your latest "what the heck is it" thread - and I wound up looking at the photos of the lead tinning you did on the rear quarter. What a beautiful, beautiful job.

I know that there's a whole debate on lead vs. epoxy/fibral style fillers these days over cracking concerns, but this just looks perfect - the kind of result that allows for worry-free sleep :)

Hahaha, that's awesome. I never thought anybody would be "sneaking around, looking for clues" in here. Thanks for the props on the lead work. It's becoming a lost art for sure., but I kind of enjoy it ( well, at least when it comes out well.) I do really need to update this ancient photo gallery as some of the other pieces are coming in to place.

I figured I'd look in here after I found out that one of the other posts referenced the jig you made to keep the unibody square.

I think that reasoning on the leadwork applies to just about anything bodywork related - "...WHEN it comes out well." Whatever the case, it came out better than well!

Looking forward to the pictures. Does the car have a progress thread on the forum, by any chance?

I was going to make a progress thread, uh, one of these days. Just never seem to get around to it. With the recent update, I can't seem to upload photos to the gallery with out a host service, unless I'm missing something.

Brother , I'm with you. 2 Years & $45000 later, I'm still not done. I'll share some pics later.
