I'd test a 1/4" spacer. Of course that will mess up wheel stud length. Perfect wheel for the car.
keep in mind how much thread engagement you have at the hex. no hex engagement will probably cause the shank to fail. The Torque Thrust wheels use shank lug nuts I bought extra long ones thinking I might need to use spacers. I’ll cut them to the length needed for full thread engagement.

Take a chance on breaking the shanks away from the hex.It actually has no thread engagement now. The studs are flush with the wheel.
I was thinking of putting skinnier tires on my "67 RT but I don't think they make any.I’m going to try and fit P275-60r 15 BFG TAs on my 67 GTX in the next couple of days. I don’t know if they’ll fit, but I think maybe.
In your response, presume I have the perfect, or nearly perfect offset/back spacing. That’s the goal anyways.
I ran 275 60 15 on this coronet, with 7 inch C body road wheels. Only modification wasView attachment 1978305 I swapped in slightly longer shock absorbers which might have let the axle hang a little lower. The 275's made a 318 car look like it was packing at least a 383.
My red belvedere got longer shocks as well. No other modification. It's running 11x3 drums on the back.
15x7 c-body road wheels should have 4.25” backspace. What is the distance from inside tire bulge to leaf spring? Or does it rub the inner tub first?
What backspace was on the 15x7’s on your Belvedere to fit 275/60/15 tires?
