Hey What's up guys just curious if u guys can recommend a set of rockers 4 my 440? I don't have a lot of $$ to spend and am looking to crank some power out of this engine. I am looking to stick w/ 1.5 ratio stainless steel,I just don't have a ton of $ to spend on Harland sharpe,Jesel, Or even comp. A friend of mine is running prw aluminum rockers and has been good so far,if they can get me through this year I can go back and change them next year, but I just gotta get this thing going,Any recommendations?

The rockers and push rods are the only weak link on a BB MoPar when you run heavier than normal springs. My recommendation is to run 3/8" push rods with the iron adjustable rockers from Crane, Isky or the factory Max Wedge. They seem to show up at swap meets on a regular basis for $150.00.

Hey Alex,do u know where I can find the crane ones? Do u know anything about the KMJ or prw? the racers at the performance shop I was at swore by the Prw stainless steel. I will keep the 3/8 pushrods in mind. Thanks Alex!

Hey Ben, I have no idea what KMJ or PRW is. I got my Cranes from Summit but they were pricey http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRN-64770-16/
One word of caution on these. The adjusters like to back off. I think this is because the adjuster screw is some super hardened kryptonite super man steel and does not yield properly when the jam nut is tightened. Years ago I remember the screw was pretty much like a grade 8 bolt with a screw driver slot and never an issue, but now they are a dull chrome color that laugh at the sight of a file - meaning you can't remove material with a file. Yes, that's hard stuff!! I finally got them to stop loosening up but only after tightening the crap out of them to the point it felt like I was going to pull the threads out of the rockers! I did order some new adjusters and noticed they are black in color but not sure if they are more ductile than what I have.

If you find a set for $100.00 Jump on it! Hmmm, come to think of it I might have an old set of Cranes. They might have some galling where they contact the shaft but that's pretty normal for used stuff.
