1310/1350 U-Joint question.

I couldn’t get under the car so the wife did it. Pretty spry for 75. Outside locks, her best reading was 1.053. It is offset. 1310 should read 1.083, 7260 is 1.078.

Sure looks like a 1310 to me. A 1310 joint has a 1.063” cap diameter not 1.083”. I’d say that’s within .010” of what your wife measured.
Yes, I agree by the picture, that it looks offset unless it’s the angle in which the pic was taken. Get rid of it if it is…no reason to use one of those.
I’m assuming the differential yoke has an outside “tang” or “lip” to prevent the cap from migrating outward? I cannot tell from the side view of the yoke.

Yep small lip. Lots of bad info on line. Found my bill from the shaft shop. The new tube yoke he used was a spicer 2-28-557. That’s an external lock 1310 part. What threw me was that they said the joint was a spicer 5-789x. That’s a straight 1310/1310. I have an offset 1310/1350 joint. Hey gentlemen, thanks for the help. Now to just order the right joint and it’s only good vibrations
