That extra 3/8 inch from 215 to 225 is worth $28?!?As a drag racer you are poking fun and the cost and size of tires.
Now that you ask, HELL YES it is. 225/70/14 is the tallest 14” tires I’ve found, unless you want a 9.50/14 LT tire.

Now as a drag racer you are questioning the cost and size of tires? LOL

And how many hundreds of posts ask:
”what is the biggest tire that will fit on my XYZ car “

Lol. No, not really. I have several cars that require really expensive tires, unfortunately. ($500 each for my Opel rears, $400+ for Goodyear redlines for my runner, and $450+ for my Imperials.... and I need twelve)
It's just that it seems that a full set of 14s that cost an extra $112 for 3/8" extra width seems exorbitant.
 
Yes tires are money these days.

215-225 It’s more about the height for me, if you want wide get a 235/60-14 but those are too short and squatty.
