Looking for guidance to remove and replace convertible weatherstripping. I have the replacement kit. Can a decent "backyard mechanic" handle the job?

Just did mine with the kit from Detroit Muscle Tech. Pulled them out by hand. To put the new ones in, a plastic interior trim removal tool worked well to seat/push them in. Biggest pain was the rearmost harder rubber ones that the rear windows go up into. Also had to slightly shorten the one that goes across the front of the top.
