Hi Guys - one of my headlight motor’s run for two seconds and then it starts arcing between the contacts and motor shuts off. I have to wait a few minutes then it will work again for a couple of seconds then shuts off again. Its not the ground wire because i fixed that already.

Do you think it is do to the windings in the pictures below? Some of the strands are black as though they heated up for some reason.???

Or is the thermal breaker bad? I sanded the surfaces but that didnt help.?

Any thoughts?

Only an ohm meter or DC amp meter would tell you. I would think there would be a current draw spec in the 66 FSM.

Someone gave me a tip that i had not thought about. Just make a jumper wire to bypass the thermal breaker. I did that and the motor still doesnt work for more than a couple of seconds. So i shipped to Topher today!!! :) Good guy to talk to.
