It's baaaa-ack. ...and with a BIN of 16.5K- https://www.ebay.com/itm/1966-Dodge...210691?hash=item3db450f983:g:brAAAOSw~wdgBOKM
Cool car before they "hot rodded" it. It probably seems fast and scary as hell with that rake. And the fender well headers...it's not a 55 Chevy. The seats look nice!
I agree, although for a race car it could have been chopped much worse. The scariest thing for me is the de-chroming which begs the question- if the trim holes are filled in, how much more work was done?
Does this maroon car have 11” drum brakes all around? These are neat cars. I had an oddball: 67 Charger 383-2, console 4 speed, 323 SG manual steering and brakes. Had fender tag and certicard. For the little money I got out of it I should have kept it.
QQ1 is "metallic red" in 66. It's an interesting color that begs further study on my part. I had a customer in K Falls with a '66 Charger optioned with a 361-2/4-speed. It was a nice road car and actually wasn't horrible in the mpg department. Sounds like the 67 was a neat car. On the brakes I am unsure. I'll report back on that once we get it up in the air and pull the wheels off.
We have been very busy at work due to the storm so not much in the way of progress. I am considering stabbihg a rebuit 383 long block in the car instead of fighting the unknown. I did knock all plugs out of the block to flush it. I hate the thought of my newly recored radiator getting full of crud. The little devil on my shoulder keeps reminding me of a 470 stroker for sale semi locally that I should go check out. It's hard to resist making this one boogie like my other cars do.
I learned something new about 66 b bodies today! Apparently if a 361 or 383 was ordered in an area that required C.A.P. emissions the 26" radiator was standard. That would make sense considering my silver car was a C.A.P. equipped, non-A/C, 383 4-barrel. So there you have it, the mystery of the 26" radiator is solved.
