Looking to finally upgrade the hodge podge wheels on my project car. Can a few people confirm what size they are running on their 66 Coronet's or other B-body that we know has the same clearances?

Someone posted these sizes a while back. Is this the sweet spot for my car?

Front - 15x7 4.25 BS w/ 225/70/15
Rear - 15x8 4.5 BS w/ 275/60/15

I don't want to have to do any modifications to make it fit, but want the biggest tire I can get underneath.

Front of the car has Wilwood disc brakes. Rear is all stock currently for brakes and suspension. May upgrade the drums to discs at some point. Will that change anything?

The biggest tire we put on the back of our 66 Coronet was a 255/60/15 on 15 x 8" American Racing Torq Thrust's and had a bit of rubbing on one side.
We went to a 235/70/15 just to be safe, cheers.

Wow, I am surprised by that. I know others have definitely fit 275's and 255's were supposed to be the safe side. Anyone else want to add what you are running for your 66/67?

What was your backspacing? Maybe that was the culprit.

The 15 x 8" Torq Thrust were 4 1/2 backspace (I believe), sold them and bought 15 x 7" (which actually fit worse as they have less backspace)
The 66 Coronet rear wheel wells are tight, I can't see getting a 275/60/15 back there w/o modifying.
I run 275's on my Chargers w/ room to spare

275/40/18 on an 18x9 wheel.

Following. I'm shopping around for my 67 RT, going to disc on front brakes too.

I'm curious to see what works for you as well. I have 2 66 b bodies and I'd like to change up wheels and tires.

'66 Coronet wheels
Weld S104
18x9.5 - 0 offset - 265/35R18 rear
17x7 - 0 offset - 205/50R17 front

also pretty confident that 275/35R18 would fit in the rear

^^^Diggin' the air dam on your '66! Did you make that from scratch, or modify an existing dam to fit?
