I was happy to see the previous owner also had the hood ornament.

1967 GTX emblem. The different 1966 hood sign was also missing on the car I inspected. The owner wanted a hood emblem for it, but nobody repro's this piece. I told him I could get the same piece you have, and he was happy with it.

That is weird; it should have had the 426 HEMI signs on the bottom of the front fenders by then. Have the front fenders been changed over the years (accident damage?)? I inspected and verified a 1966 HP2 Belvedere II locally a few years ago. It was Resale Red at the time, but was originally mauve metallic. Built December, 1965.

I may be reading the tag wrong. The date on the tag is 330. Is the “3“ the 3rd month of the calendar year, or 3rd month of the production cycle?

You have it right; 330 = March 30. A = Oct. '65, B = Nov. '65, C = Dec. '65

No, but some of the other '66 Hemi owners should have it, as I have seen it on here.

That's a 67 emblem. 66 is a foil emblem on the back so the driver sees it. I just got the original one off my car. Mine also had the V8 emblems on the fenders but they have been replaced in the past. I just put the emblems on mine. Not at all hard to do.

Also, should the valve covers be chrome or black crinkle?
