All I know is those quarter windows wipped my butt getting them out, at least 1-1/2 hours. Dred them going back in. Manual is not very explicit.
They whipped my butt putting them back in. five hours on the passenger side and three hours on the drivers side. They would have fired me and my help if we had been working on the factory line. That must have been a dreaded position back in 1966 ---- putting in quarter windows.
Dad worked at Fisher Body in the fifties and said some of those guys could do their operation in their sleep. He failed on a couple things when he first went to work there. He was and still is talented (@91) made supervision 2nd year at 26 years of age, 26 man crew. The stories he told, wish I could have been there. Got tired of being layed off so moved back to NC in 58I feel they must have had a special tool to assemble the rollers once the glass was in position.
That is the biggest problem.
Squeezing them on.
I have the books at work in regards to the tools and updates on what was used .I feel they must have had a special tool to assemble the rollers once the glass was in position.

When he first came home from school he had a whole lot of Confidence but little experience
When we were working on my Charger, He insisted He needed to take the rear windows out and fix them (They were hard to roll up)
I told him it was something he didn't want to mess with, but he didn't listen and started to take them apart
It was at that time I took a superior attitude and a fresh cup of coffee waiting to watch the show
Imagine my surprise when he had the window out in about 40 minutes
Here I was figuring he would never do it and he made it look easy
It was that day I knew he had surpassed me
Make sure you time him from start to finish when he puts them back in and adjusted. Sure like to know.

It was a little bit of bothWere all the rollers replaced, or was it a pull out lubricate and reinstall?
