I just got this Belvedere and am trying to figure out the fender tag, i have a lot of it but it is conflicting rear ends (3.55 and 3.23) , Also says rear window defogger?? There is none and it seems to be the factory rear window. Any help would be great

It has the silver special interior.

m9 body side mouldings delete

Belvedere II had those high mounted body mouldings standard, but there are a small percentage that never had them. And then the did have the GTX rocker mouldings, which most Belvedere II cars never got. Most of these with the swapped mouldings are silver specials.

Interesting.

I have a 4 door parts car that is high side molding delete...and silver special interior.

Never noticed the rocker moldings, but now I'll have to check.

I have the broadcast sheet from a 67 Belv II 4-dr that was an extra in one of my cars. Has the H4A interior code and is stamped SILVER SPL at the bottom. Box 649 - Delete Molding has a 9 in it so I am guessing this corresponds to m9 on the fender tag. Never really looked at that before.

I found a remnant of the BS in that parts car.

Just a few inches of the bottom, with that same SILVER SPL on it.

H4A is Silver Special interior. The package usually included a matching charcoal/silver coloured vinyl top. Legendary Interiors reproduces these unique interior pieces and top.

The vinyl top was an option, not all of them had it.

Reread your first post.

The car originally had a 2.94 open rear end.
There is no rear defrost code.
The rear defroster would have been and blower motor with an air duct not electrical grid on the glass.
Y5 is a silver vinyl top

My friend, Ross, has a 1967 Belvedere II that has the high mounted normal bright trim, as well as the GTX-style lower trim. This car is not a Silver Special. His previous '67 Belvedere was a Silver Special car, with the unique interior trim and matching vinyl top. It had the lower trim package.

Yes I have seen them with both kinds of the body side trims also. Oddity.

It would be cool to see a 67 GTX with the silver vinyl top.
