Hi, new to the forum and to Mopars. I am looking at possibly buying this car (for me and my boys to work on together), but somewhat confused as to what it actually is. The owner says it is a "500" but I have my doubts, the badging on the rear deck lid panel is "500", but the badges on the quarters are "440". It has a 318 2bbl carb, auto trans., column shift, power steering, non power brakes. The owner states, the floor needs patching, as does the trunk (waiting for photos of those areas). My background is with vintage Toyota Land Cruiser's, so rust is nothing new to me.

Since the car is not close for me to look at in person, what is a fair price on something like this?

Thanks for any input and a great site.

Tony

Have you tried google images to compare? The tail lights are from a 500

What is the VIN? If it's a 500 should be WP23, 440 WH23 would be a Coronet 440. My guess would be 440 since that's what's on the quarters and why would someone add those to a 500?

That is a coronet 440 model! some one changed out the deck lid or added the 500 trim and tail lights. The side trim is 440 trim level. If it runs and is drivable I'd say $2,000-2,500.00. Rust repair is going to be costly! In restored condition you're only looking at $12,000.00 top dollar if you decided to sell it some day!
