Hi all,

Changing the bulbs in my marker lights. I notice that they are pretty loose in the housing when pushed back into place. Can I just bend out the metal tabs to make them tighter or is there a better way?

Thanks!
Bob

I tweaked my tabs a little but mine aren’t the tightest.

They are very stiff and you do not want to damage them or the socket. If they are not falling out you can source a thin o-ring and place it over all the tabs. That should keep the socket tight and grounded.

Update...I tried bending the tabs out a little and were still very loose. (actually not sure how they stayed in to begin with). I put a dab of Permatex gasket sealer on the base and that seems to be holding it in well.
