So I have a few leaks which have plagued this car since I bought it. The outlet has a compression fitting added to the end to change it to AN fittings. I replaced the sending unit seal a ways back but just got around to being able to drive it. Yup filled it up and noticed it again after I thought I got it. A few questions, FIRST when to put that round seal in and move that ring to seat the seal do you go until the tabs touch eachother OR force the tab under the other? Thinking maybe there is NOT enough force acting upon the rubber seal. Lastly what sending unit is best since I am thinking of replacing the one I have since that fitting leaks also. I can do it a different way. Not looking for a Chinese $50 junk unit. Engine is a 650hp 472 Cross rammed Hemi. Maybe AMD or ????? THX in advance Scott

Nvrmind I got it. Sometimes I am an idiot.

i don't believe there is a new sending unit out there that is anywhere near accurate.
unfortunately..........

Chinese sending units are nowhere accurate with odd-shaped gas tanks in '66-'67 B-bodies. I carry a little book in my 1967 R/T console, and record mileage and quantity. I know my car has a 15 gallon tank and gets about 15 mpg., for 225 mile range. When I get to 200 miles, I start looking for a gas station.
