1970 Charger R/T 440-6 Restoration is complete!

The headlight doors have steel backing frames. The "grille" treatment carries over to the doors. The rivets are usually painted but they hold the plastic grate/grille to the steel framework.

Beautiful!
This was a HUGE undertaking so we wanted to share this car with the group who helped us find parts, resources etc. THANK YOU for being such a great community of Mopar lovers! View attachment 677394
This is The Purple People Eater! Completed November 2018!
Below is a video featuring before and after photos and some video of the ULTIMATE Charger transformation! A customer bought this 1970 Charger 500 from a farm in Arkansas. It was a forgotten base model Charger 500 with a TIRED 318 and no options and it was being used as a parts donor. Needless to say, ALL parts of any value had been removed and sold. The owner's dream? Turn it into a Plum Crazy R/T 440 6 pack with leather and A/C!
It took almost 4 years between metal repair, parts sourcing, chrome, interior etc, but the entire project is complete! This car was restored by Driven Restorations in Randolph WI for it's owner who had big dreams.

See more of the story and photos on our blog post about the build http://blog.drivenrestorations.com/2016/02/black-beauty-b-body-mopar-1970-charger.html

Thank you for all the help along the way! Enjoy the view!
