What's it Worth 1970 Dodge Charger R/T 440 Manual Track Pack Car Barn Find

Based on what I see other projects sell for, I would say offer him 25k cash. If he takes it great, if not then I would move on. That's just me though.

After reading this I am just shocked at the money
I had no idea things have got so expensive

I'm going to go increase the insurance on my Charger now

The costs have gone up faster than inflation. It's been 10 years since my fifth GTX went through restoration. Seller bought it in 2013 as a licensed driver, rough original paint and sheet metal, original drivetrain rebuilt by previous owner. Paid $18,000. Put $50K into it, cheap even then. I was shocked by body shop receipts showing a labor rate of only $35 per hour. Car was built as a group charity project, everyone donated their labor. The body work was the only major area farmed out. Car was painted by one of the volunteers. Seller was upside down when I bought the car. He donated every cent to charity, and was okay with that. Most interesting flip job I've ever encountered, wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't been part of it.

The car has since made the rounds of the national auction and dealership market, being bid to almost double what I paid for it in 2015. Numbers are consistent with what's been posted here regarding Charger R/Ts. Mine are a bit lower because of the somewhat lower demand for the Plymouth version.

purchase price isn't the killer....... you're 12K apart

dumping into a resto shop at 100ish dollars/hour for every single hour is the killer......

and spending 10K on paint and materials, when it can be done for 5K

an experienced guy with no overhead can save you at least the 12K, or more

if the fenders are total crap, start searching now
