I have started my project I have been acquiring parts for the past 5 months and have now started the tear down. I have removed the upper cowl since it was in rough shape. I picked up a 2014 392 hemi for the car for 4,000.00 with 65,000 miles on it. Hopefully this weekend I will have the time to media blast the firewall and get some primer on it.

From some of my research for that paint code it is a 1 of 3 car based on being convertible and FC7 its a 318 car. But drivetrain is long gone I cleaned up the rusty reared. It still has its paint markings.

Love it! Not many 70 satellite convertibles around and I’ve never seen one in FC7.

Nice car......and it has the optional folding roof also.

Maybe @NJRR would like to see this one. :)
My dream car !!!! I've had 3 70 Satty convertibles and a 70 FC7 RR. I miss them :(

I use to manage the Torino collection he had a 1970 RR 440+6 4 speed vert. Loved to drive that car.

Spent some time this weekend restoring the front end. Had the k member powder coated. I sand blasters the control arms and painted them. Pressed out the old bushings and pressed in all new ones. Trying to get it ready to set the 392 on top to take up less room in the garage.

Yeah, less than 70 RR convertibles, which is VERY odd that the performance model had a higher production number.

From my research there was only .4% as FC7 satellites produced so there were only 3 cars in this color as a convertible.

Out of curiosity, where did you determine the total FC7 Satellites? I didn't know Mopar tracked numbers by color so is via a registry or something else?

I came across a blog that was done years ago from a person that had a pink road runner. He posted out of a book that showed all of the cars produced for 1970 and the percentage of colors. Here is a screen capture I took of it. Based on the amount of convertibles produced and that .4 percent would be a little more than 3 cars but they wouldn’t make half of a car.

Thanks and I can't make out the numbers there, but I did find this E Body chart and would love to see one for 70 B Bodies.

I wouldn't put much stock on the numbers that were out there. According to this chart, my 1970 FM3 Sat convertible doesn't exist.

Here's a couple FC7 conv pics for incentive.

Here’s an FC7 and an abomination IMO.

There's a couple guys around here, one with a 70 RR hemi convert fc7 and another satellite hdtp 383 4spd fc7. Not apples to, just saying.
