I just changed the oil & filter on the 70 Hemi RR for the first time
I put in 6 Quarts ran it & let it sit overnight
checked the oil level this morning & it did not even reach the oil add dot
Will probably take another quart to get it to reach the full dot
The dip stick looks correct
Has anybody had this issue?
Also does anybody know how long the dip stick should be?

Thanks Larry

According to the 1970 Plymouth factory service manual (page 0-4) six quarts plus one in the filter

This also fits my dimming recollection of my old 70 V code

426, 440 had 7 qt systems, all others were 5 qt including filter

You can download free shop manuals at MyMopar. I keep posting this because EVERYBODY should have them, and they are free. No, I do not work for MyMopar
