so I took out my rally dash cluster, cleaned it up , replaced what needed replacing , and I really didn't take good notes about what bulbs go where, I have to assume all the lights that surround the gauges with the same color wires (orange) go to the gauges as I can assume that those 3-4 spots would all have the same color leads. my problem is the blinker bulbs , and the hi beam bulb that I think is the only one that has a red wire. I want to make sure I get the left and right blinkers in their rightful place. Also the emergency brake wire , does it have a black lead?
Any help would be cool guys

I know it may seem obvious but i was worried about it before i tried: You can simply ground the dash to the frame with a piece of wire, turn on the ignition and then check the lights by turning on the turn signal or setting the brake. You dont need the rest of the dash plugged in at all - gauges, etc. You do need to push the bulb into a socket to get a ground, but just move it if it’s in the wrong place, all with the dash still out.

You are correct that the orange the same, but there is a high beam, left and rigth and a brake bulb.

Great info thank you so much , I'm good at wiring but when taking this out amongst the grunting and cursing trying to be as careful as can be , and being in the positions needed to ease it out , I didn't write anything down

I thought I had the wiring diagram for the car and it would lead me to the correct color codes but can't find it now , if I didn't need it , it would be right in front of me

Does anyone know where you can get new blue light lenses , some of them are hazy , I tried to clean them and they are in ok condition but the Brightness would be better with new ones . Can't seem to find any in the aftermarket usual suspects

Hi Glenn. My 70 GTX has green wire Left indicator globe, tan wire Right globe and the emergency brake light has two wires, a black wire and a blue with white tracer. I would assume the wiring would be the same for yours. Hope this helps.

Yes that does help it has to be the same , I think the brights is a red wire . I know I have the tan wire , will find out this weekend
