Yes you heard that correctly, I need the worst parts car that is close enough from me in San Jose, CA area for a build I planning on doing in the next couple years. I recently bought a car that I plan to do some drift racing/street driver and need parts to fix what mine is missing. Now I don’t need nice parts as my car is soo rusty, I just need enough metal on it to just hang stuff onto.
So mainly looking for trashed fender that is not as bad as I have on the passenger side.
Front or rear lower quarter panel sections to fill in the missing metal. Front/rear std gravel shields/valances.
1971-1974 flat hood in terrible condition.
What ever you have in the scrap pile of fine as this car is not going back to stock. Not looking to put your kids through college so keep that in mind when your thinking prices. Would consider rolling bodies if the price is cheaper than a stimulus check. Here is the car I’m working with so you got an idea of what I’m working with.

I have the exact car you are looking for that would be perfect for what you are doing, but it is in Connecticut. The car has good bones and would be solid enough to take the punishment of drifting, but needs all the usual metal work. I have fenders and doors for it.$2500 takes it. It is the perfect car to make a race car, drift car or drag car out of. Migs, don't use that R/T to build a drift car out of,it needs to be saved! Only a little over 3000 71 Charger R/T cars were built in 1971. It's a rare car.

I wish it were closer, because it is the perfect car to build what you want out of it.

well it's a 4 spd car, number goes down to 332made. 80's of them in gold. Add to that it was a console recorder, airgrabber import car, then the number goes down to like 12 made. Still, it will be pretty cool thrash rod drifter when it's done.

I have the same car but my car is GY9 tawny gold. Only 332 built, probably less than 100 built with the N96 Ramcharger hood option. My car needs all the same stuff, but I am going to see to it that it gets restored, whether I do it or someone else does. It is too rare and too cool a car not to be restored. Your car deserves to be restored too Migs, there are plenty of 318 cars to make drift cars from.

turning the car into a race car is restoring it. no worries as I don't plan on smashing up the important parts. I do need some JDM style wheel flares for when I make the wheel well opening bigger for the 18' & 20' wheel combo's. would like carbon fiber flares extra wide and body width carbon wing if anybody knows of some sources.

Could put one of those J2XZY7 engines in it with a big turbo.

well i'm posting what I need for the project and don't mind if people have alternative sources for parts and components.

Hey, I thought this was a wanted thread.
I hear you,and I know it is his car,and he can do what he wants, but that is the wrong car to use for that project. I offered the right car,all he needs to do is come and get it,or find another one like it closer to him. Racecars/drift cars get smashed twisted and bent. The bodies get stressed. They need all kinds of extra bracing, and frame connectors to be stiffened throughout, using a one of 12 R/T four speed car instead of a 318 car for that project is a big mistake. For any kind of real drifting the car should be caged throughout. The R/T may have rust that needs to be repaired, but other than that it appears to be a clean straight restorable car.

look, the car is rusty, missing everything including tags and the only parts that don't have rust is the roof, glass and paperwork. drift car is because it would not need restoring and when i do decide to do it 10 years from now is because i'll be bored with it. luckily, i got a partial parts car coming in, so 1/2 the parts i'm gonna need are taken care of.

It was never from California. Anyway, looks like the mods didn’t like me asking for help needing parts and moved the post.

Yep! Sale and wanted threads that don't follow the rules and turn into a chat room get moved, modified or deleted.

Ok, then delete everyone’s comments and move it back then. I’m still looking for parts and didn’t have control of what people were posting.

Here is the thing. The post doesnt look or read like a wanted to buy post, hence why all the comments. For example, there is no need for all those photos.... I understand what your saying, but as you can see, this turned into a discussion about what to do with the car, which is why it was moved. Please just make a simple WTB thread...

Project is going to be pushed back to 2025 as the money is not here to work on 6 cars at once. The body is looking better than previously indicated so it may get a ‘Fury Road’ build. Low, bare metal, carbon wings and Frankenstein welds to make it pretty.
