Does anyone know how to tell if my 1971 RR 383 is matching. There are large numbers 2468130-7 on the side. Also it looks like 11.5.70
Depends on how far you want take defining "numbers matching". First (3) areas that come to mind are:

1) Side of engine block (stamped on a machined surface)
2) Side of transmission
3) Radiator core support

The last several digits of the VIN should be what you'll find in those areas. I believe it's the last (8) IIRC. There are more areas to verify as well. There are some folks around here that are experts at this. Hopefully one or some will chime in for further assistance.
