1971 Road Runner Hood Springs

Were there different hood springs for a car with an air grabber vs a regular hood? My car had the air grabber added and the hood springs have difficulty keeping the hood up.

Not that I’m aware of. Your spring might just be tired

For some reason, 71-74 springs seem to wear out a lot more than 66-70 springs.

Thanks! Looks like I need a new set of springs.

Now to find a set that isn't already attached to new hinges.
