My electric washer pump stopped working, the original wiper switch still operates the wiper motor fine. Is there anyway to repair the washer function or do I need to find another switch which I fear is a '71 only part? Does anyone know the correct part no. for the switch? Thanks.

Are you sure is the switch and not the motor? Have you feed the motor straight from batt to check if it works? or maybe the wire?

The baquelite assembly what it gets the points could be getting loose from the switch housing. In any case you need to remove the switch to check for that.

Yes, 71 is one year only switch BUT you can get a 72/74 switch and change the plastic plugs to 72/74 too. Wiring is the same in all 71/74 just diff prong disposition between 71 and 72/74
