1971 Superbee Dash Emblem

Impossible to find

This picture is not mine , but a lot of my yellow has faded away

So I say , why not repaint - Don’t even have to remove the dash piece

Well , if it was that easy correct

Anyone done it ?

First off , the color - Y 3 Citron Yella maybe ?

That would bee key , correct color

Then a paint brush I would assume leave streaks and lines

How about a small detail sponge brush ? Like Testors sells

Anyways looking for ideas or suggestions - Thanx Scott

Not my picture , just reference

My 2-cents? Take the dash piece out and paint it by hand. Try some Testors mold del paint or a closer color match if you can find it. Take your time

Thinking this direction with sponge brush

Testors Paint Pen might bee another option - But again the correct color would bee impossible

Unless a Mopar paint company put into a pen or chip bottle for touch up paint

Testors® Micro Sponges - 10 Pack

I believe those are "pad printed".

I've not tried it, but the general idea is to have a flat, semi-absorbent pad soaked with paint, and basically gently "roll" either the part from one end of the pad to the other, or the pad onto the part.

Thanx

That definitely makes sense , as far as how smooth and fine it looks

More research on that

Thanx again
