1974,1973 roadrunner/satelits

Hey Ron.
RH is a Sebring. Yes a 318 probably would of came with a 904. 340 and 360's got the 727. 8.25, 8.75, 9.25 and Dana all have 3" axle tubes so the shock plates interchange.
You'll burn up all of your brain cells trying to fugure out why people did what they did. Sounds like yours got mostly up-grades. Does it have the fender tag. If so post the codes and I'll de-code it for you.

Thank you much bud! That explains some... There isint to many brain cells left to burn up lol... Its only curiosity that i want to know about these things, I read one thing, see another.. I am glad to know about the shock plates that will help a lot, worked on it all day, the actual stud the shock rides on is threaded im figuring being there replacement is, so i have a hole now drilled thru and im going to try heating it and using a easy out and hope i can get it out.. Its the only thing to do and then i can get it back together. Ill look again for a fender tag, i don't think there is one on it but ill look closer in the AM.. I really wouldn't think the 9.25 would be that good of a upgrade to warrant all the work unless it was a limited slip which it isint.. Im hoping to find some parts to do just that.. Thanks again, you have been a great help!

hmm i think ibe got a p1/4 rear on my if im not wronge??/there a 9 stamped on the axl???

both my rrs have front n rear sway bars i think its standard but dia varies from front to rear

No fender tag bud... I didn't thinks so, but you have been a help so ill just go on from hear and see what comes into play with some upgrades im doing and plan to do in the future. Sorry im late getting back to you with this. Thanks again.. :)

The 9 1/4 was a popular upgrade 'back in the day'...my current 72 SSP has one under it. I haven't been able to check it out to see what sort of ratio or if it's open or not.

Those were the days

Indeed those were the days, if back then you were so inclined to you could have ordered a green car with red interior (not that you would want to but you could) but today it seems like all options come on packages, back then you could order just about anything that they made. I have seen a 73 Sat. with all Roadrunner options 400 4 speed, air, power windows, sunroof, it was in rough shape but was all there and the fender tag, and vin # (RH) did determine that it was in fact a Sat. and not a Roadrunner. Just food for thought.

Truly struggling right now. I got a 1973 Roadrunner , but the previous owner pulled the differential out. I thought, " thought" ! I had a "B" body 8 3/4 to put in it. Su,,,,pposedly came out of 1969 Dodge Charger. Well if it did , they the lengths of the diffys were greatly shorter than what I got. Can somebody please tell me what length diffy to get to move it off my trailer and around. I'm bout to grab a 9" ford and hope for the best.

11 year old thread.

73 axle is a lot wider than a 69.

Like several inches wider.
