Number 2 No she does not call me, not once a day other then emergency

Thats two HONEST answers... Im not changing my ways after close to 40 years with her.
We talk over things, but Common sense in anything HAS to come first. theirs tuff love
involved with the kids part, Im strong where she is weak.
Question truthfully answered.....
NOW my Turn, why? Whats the point?
We didn't make it this far because of a one way rule, we do discuss our options but hers
has the result of making someone happy, where as mine are the logical ways things need
to be done. Again, Whats the point of all this? You have my attention. Ron

Its a perfect example when my wife says "NO MORE CARS ESPECIALLY A RACE CAR".
So what do I do, go and buy this car lastyear.
Even better is when she says we cant buy another car and forbids me to buy something and a HORSELESS CARRIAGE CAR HAULER pulls up to the house and unloads another car.
Who do you think wears the pants in my house?

The point of this post is to see which guys are on this site and have their spouses lead them around like a little puppy dog and control their every move.I want to see how many guys on here actually have the balls to take control of their relationship.

In our house it's like this. There's me, my wife, my 5 year old son and our dog. We're all control freaks so things can get a little 'interesting' around here at times. My wife would like very much to be able to control me (tried real hard early on in our relationship) but I think that she's come to terms with the fact that she can't. She's never really given me a hard time about my car (couldn't give a rats *** about it) and because I'm usually very financially responsible she never really questions any of my purchases other than showing some interest in what I bought if it's something that she's interested in. I go out when I want and come home when I feel like it. If I tell her I'm going to so-and-so's house then that's it, she doesn't question it. On the other hand, I'm not up her *** about what she's doing or where she's going. As far as phone calls go, I do get the end-of-day "I'm on my way home, what are we doing for dinner?" call almost every day. Other than that the only time we call/text one another is if it's something important although every so often (thank God not too often!!!) if she's really bored at work she'll call and start some stupid B.S. chit-chat crap. I blow her off, she calls one of her sisters (should've done that in the first place) and life goes on.

Telling the truth, who would admit to it? I DID! It may not be something someone wants to believe, but I also said in my ride photos, Knowing some and how they feel about clones I made sure i told the truth there, didn't have to, know one hear would know. why did I?
Im a Christion, i don't say it, i do it. lieing isint going to work for me, against the rules!! lol... I hate being lied to so i make it a habit not to do it to others, enough corruption in the world without me being a part of it... One lie leads to another then finally leads to the truth which then says your a lie telling, untrustworthy guy, nope not me. That ole dog don't hunt. In my opinion, this survey is skewed to the mans side, simply because we are in a hobby that is, and always will be, considered as "Mans territory". We are a hot rod site, same as a Harley site. This is not a forum that is filled with HR reps and their passions. While there are some suit-and-tie members in this forum, I believe a vast majority of us are blue collar, working stiffs.

I'm not going to speak for anyone else but I have no reason to doubt your answers or question your honesty.

At the risk of sounding disrespectful or insulting your integrity, I do have to ask, what does being a Christian have to do with anything? Over the years I have known many Non-Christians who were as honest and forthright as the day is long. Conversly, there are also many Christians out there that would lie through their teeth especially given the embarassing nature of the subject. I see no relevance to the topic.

I know many non-Christions like that who tell the truth, help out others ect.. And then i know of the ones who say they are and by there own actions you can see there not and make us look bad. It would be like me telling you im a rich man and then you show up and see just how i live, they make me and others look bad. my wife and i have an agreement, i can go and do whatever i want to do in my garage, she takes care of the house. if there is something she needs then i tell her to go ahead and buy it, if i need something for the garage i get. if we have a more expensive item, then we discuss it to see whether or not we need it,afford it. if i'm on the road and one of the kids needs to borrow $$$, she will call me to see if that is okay.if i have an idea about something, i will call her to see what she thinks about. She is my 3rd wife and by leaps and bounds, she is the very best i could have. we've only been married for 6 yrs (my 3rd,her 2nd) but have never argued not once. she is the one that suggested that i take my tax refund and put it toward getting the motor rebuilt and the parts for my RR ordered.

Please don't take it the wrong way. The fact that you mentioned it doesn't offend me in any way, shape or form. I was just a bit confused as to how it affects ones answers to such questions. Given the nature of the subject there can be a strong tendency to bend the truth or at the least, omit certain details which can sway the results of the poll one way or another.

Also take into consideration the fact that perception may have a lot to do with how one answers such questions. Someone may think they have the upper hand in a relationship while others may see a different picture when looking from the outside in. I know a lot of guys whos wives do a fantastic job of letting them believe they wear the pants in the family. For all I know, I may be one of them, I'm not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed!!!

The way the question is presented may also create biased answers. SSR made the statement "The point of this post is to see which guys are on this site and have their spouses lead them around like a little puppy dog and control their every move. I want to see how many guys on here actually have the balls to take control of their relationship." How would one expect most guys, even decent, honest guys, ESPECIALLY car guys to answer to that? If the question was something along the lines of "How do you guys and your wives go about making decisions within your houshold?" it would be reasonable to expect answers that were a little more honest.

My original post to this thread, was to question the honesty of the answers and the accuracy of the poll results, not to make blind accusations aimed at anyone in particular. Please don't take it personally.

I make ALL of the decisions ..NO phone calls I rarely take my cell ( $80 a year Walmart phone).. I take it when I take out the hobby car because sometime it goes down and a public phone is not to be found anymore ..married 39 years and I wish she would make a decision just leaves it all in my lap.. if your wife calls more than twice when your out you need to get a pair ... remember life before all the cell phone-text message bull $hit ..I see these goofy kids on these phones constantly while the parents sit there looking of into space while there meal get cold ... maybe I'm just getting old

Well lets see here..... been together 35 years... I bought our home before she even saw it. Bought other property, homes, and an apt building, didn't ask just got the job done. I rarely get a call. Go check on out of state investments yearly w/o issue. My laundry is done, she wants to go to dinner we go. She wants a BIG party in Vegas to celebrate our 35 years later this year. She's got it! I'm in charge here. I ask her oppn here and there and take it into consideration but I have finel saying, I to have bought (house,car)with out her I pay for most everything big she takes care of the small stuff ,also the only calls are for emergencies and to ask what I want for dinner, as a on road heavy equipment mechanic I never carried a phone so it was common practice to leave me alone and I would call back if there was a missed call knowing there is a problem.
Guy I used to work with ,his (girl friend) called him at least every 20 mins and if he didn't answer she would start calling everyone else asking where he was, one day she called me and asked where he was I told her strip club. With in 15 mins she was at the shop looking for both of us. (Not a fun day)
