2 Ton Aluminum hydraulic floor jacks. Which are the best?

After only about three years of light usage, my Pittsburg two ton is calling it quits on me. I mean, my car doesn't even weigh two tons and this crap is taking one on me.
Which ones are the best?
Do people now need to buy a new one every three years or less?

You'll have that with the cheaper brands. The Lincoln and Hein Warner are the best but also the most expensive. I sold them as a MAC Tool dealer. We also sold Astro back in the day which were long lasting for the price.

Do the Lincoln and Hein Warner brands have aluminum versions? I mean, I'll investigated it further being that I don't mind paying more to get quality and refunded for the time wasted on going to and purchasing another junk pile.
A lot of folks don't realize how much time is wasted in repackaging, driving and shipping garbage (not goods) back to their makers and distributors.

Old USA, and I mean old jacks lasted the longest. New ones, not so much.

Every jack today, no matter if they claim to be Made In USA, has a Chinese Shinn Fu pump since they own all the rights for manufacturing. Sure, there might be some sketchy Pakistani or Indian pumps out there, but for the most part, it's all Chinese.

There are different quality levels of the Shinn Fu pumps, and you pretty much get what you pay for. The Daytona line of jacks is actually pretty good.

The Daytona jacks are decent for the money. I just bought the very heavy steel 3 ton as my kid keeps taking my two aluminum 2 ton Daytonas. He will have a hard time just picking this one up it is heavy.

I've been out of the tool business for eight years now, but my customers who bought the NAPA jacks were always pissed because the jacks failed in a year, if they even made it that long.

I had a couple of 2-ton aluminum jacks from Harbor Freight for about 15 +/- years now that still work fine. One does gradually bleed off over time. The other is tight as a drum. I tend to use them a whole lot more than my older and much heavier Craftsman jack. Some of their stuff is a lot better quality now than 30 years ago.

Rebuild kits are less than $30 on Amazon. Is that an option for you?

I use an old Craftsman, prob 35 or so yrs old and recently 5 yrs or do ago, bought a Daytona from HF. Both still working fine.

I just saw a quick vid of a regular looking manufactured floor jack that took an 18volt battery pack and lifted and lowered using a push button. Have those been made available in aluminum yet? My two aluminum jacks from Horror Freight still work great after 12-14 years.

That has worked twice so far for my 49 year old Walker.

I have the aluminum one from HF. I've had it going on 10 year's no problem. I might add I do like having it with getting older. Because, it's nice and light.

I have one HB jack that I bought only because it's aluminum. Had 2 old Lincolns...one quit working and bought a seal kit but never installed it. The second Lincoln started leaking several years later and I put in heavier oil and that worked for several more years and recently sold it and scraped the other. The HB jack is still doing ok after over 10 years. My first floor jack was bought from Sears in the 70's and it was a good one too.....didn't even know it was from China until years later.

Even the chi-com stuff can be of lesser quality, than years ago. I got a blue anodized chi-com jack as a gift about 25 years ago. It just took a dump, about a month ago.
I'm pretty impressed. I look at them now...and know that they won't do that. I always try to purchase domestic, if possible.
