We all get a week off. The next race is the 36th Annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Summer Nationals, May 13-15 at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, GA.
As always, your picks need to be posted before Pro Qualifying starts on Friday, May 13 in order to qualify for all event bonus points. Pro qualifying is scheduled to start at 4:00PM EDT (1:00 PM PDT).
The Summer Nationals entry list is posted on NHRA.com and currently shows 12 Top Fuel, 15 Funny Car, 15 Pro Stock and 19 Pro Stock Motorcycle entries, but the counts have already changed since they announce on today's television coverage that Leah Pritchett will be in a DSR Top Fuel ride for this event. Keep checking http://www.nhra.com/events/entrylist07.aspx for an updated entry list to confirm your picks are participating.
Confirmed this morning on competitionplus.com, Leah Pritchett will be in a fourth DSR Top Fuel ride for the upcoming Summer Nationals in Atlanta. Her ride will be sponsored by FireAde and her crew chiefs from BVR, Mike Guger and Joe Barlam, will be the crew chiefs on this car. Some of the crew from her former BVR team will also crew the car. The story also confirms Leah will be in this DSR ride for the U.S. Nationals. Both Leah and DSR are trying to find funding so she can complete the rest of the 2016 NHRA season for DSR. Great to see her continue to get a chance to run!
Glad Leah got another ride, she's a real & devoted, competitive drag racer
she certainly has skills, she drove a Pro-Mod to a championship, probably the most demanding cars to drive...
Easy on the eyes/hot too..LOL
IMO she could win "again" especially in a DSR car,
if she's given the opportunity
Here's your 'Tuesday before the event' reminder to get your picks posted for the upcoming Summer Nationals that start Friday. As always, your picks need to be posted before Pro Qualifying starts at 4:00PM EDT (1:00PM PDT) on Friday, May 13.
There will not be any last-minute reminders to get your picks posted.
The NHRA website currently shows 17 Top Fuel, 16 Funny Car, 14 Pro Stock and 25 Pro Stock Motorcycle entries. Check to make sure your picks are entered and racing at this event.
Don't forget to post your picks before Pro Qualifying starts - you don't want to miss out on all the bonus points.
Results will probably be delayed getting posted as I'm going to be busy both Saturday and Sunday with our Inland Mopars Car Club's annual all-Mopar charity benefit car show at California School for the Deaf in Riverside, CA.
Have patience, they'll get posted as soon as possible.
I like your Wilk pick, GP. I think that's the first time anyone but me has picked him in this game. I'll probably keep riding his band wagon, too. I need another day to ponder before I make my picks, though.
