2019 9th Annual FABO NHRA "Pick 'Em" Game - Are You Ready For Some NITRO?!!

F/C's John Force gets his 150th

f-bombed & excited
& he'll get fined, but I don't think he cares

that's probably a record that will stand for ever
there is a couple sportsman racers with 100+
but 150 Wally's as a pro, won't be touched

T/F Austin Prock of JFR get's his very 1st, it was sort of fitting
even if my pick/Driver, Torrence didn't get the win

my p/s pick Bo Butner went out 1st round :BangHead:

that interview with Salinas (Scrappers T/F) was pretty telling too,
self made guy, from nothing

F/C Tasca's explosion was crazy, rocker caused it
ignited the fuel in the intake & KABOOM

Correction!
Congratulations to 'Nick2317' (FBBO) for winning the Top Qualifier title for the 2019 NHRA Lucas Oil Nationals with a very nice total of 20.0 bonus points. 'Nick2317' (FBBO) picked the #2 qualifier in Top Fuel, the #1 qualifier in Funny Car and the #8 qualifier in Pro Stock. Way to go!
'Back in Time' (FABO) grabbed the runner-up qualifying spot with 18.0 bonus points.
More great picks!

We have 17 players this week and only 12 different driver combos made up of:
* 4 different Top Fuel drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There is a possibility of one head-to-head matchup in Round 2.
* 6 different Funny Car drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There is a possibility of two Round 2 head-to-head matchups.
* 4 different Pro Stock drivers with one Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #8 qualifier Greg Anderson (11 picks) and #9 qualifier Alex Laughlin (1 pick). There is a possibility of one Round 2 head-to-head matchup.

Nice qualifying, Nick.

I was going to pick Jason Line since it's his home track, but seems like he's been invisible this year, so I went with the other Minnesotan. Just my luck. We'll see what happens in eliminations.

Here are the results and point standings following completion of the 17th NHRA event of the 2019 season, the 38th annual Lucas Oil Nationals.

Let's just say the game results from this event weren't quite as stellar as usual.
Congratulations to '64BEL' (FBBO) for winning the "Top Picker Eliminator" title for the NHRA Lucas Oil Nationals with a total of 82.5 points. He was helped with Speed bonus points in Top Fuel. Both his Top Fuel and Funny Car picks lost in the finals, and his Pro Stock pick lost in the opening round of eliminations.
'stroked340' (FABO) took the event runner-up spot with 70.0 points with picks that have been carried over for the past eight race events because he hasn't posted any new picks for eight races.
And 'Nitro Will' (FABO) grabbed the event 3rd place spot with 60.0 points with picks that have been carried over for the past ten race events for the same reason.
Like I said...not as stellar as usual

Here's where the bonus points were earned if you picked the right drivers:

Speed - Jack Beckman, 329.75 during Round 1 of eliminations

Speed - Chris McGaha, 209.30 during Round 2 of eliminations
