Those were great catches.I know there's a lot yet to be played, but...
this game feels over, in the third.
Scherzer does give up the long ball tho.
Edit: Wow! Bases loaded, one out, two miraculous catches to save at least three runs. BJ's, team of destiny?
2nd edit: Dodgers just aren't hitting. (Great BJ pitching!?) Barger's ws b.a. .522. Muncy's b.a. .052
The adage is: play for the win on the road, play for a tie at home.I told the wife, when the last guy walked to make it first and third; one out........ he needs to steal second asap, or risk the double play.......if they choose to throw to second base, send the runner from third........force them to make the play
manager tightened up at the critical moment........he choked imo
I didn't like the bunt either, are we playing to tie? or to win? have some balls and bunt him home if you want the tie so bad
The adage is: play for the win on the road, play for a tie at home.

I can't remember the last suicide squeeze I saw.
There are darn few decent bunters in the majors anymore.

Canada Orders Toronto Blue Jays Players Euthanized

TORONTO — Following the team's devastating loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 7 of the 2025 World Series, the Canadian government announced that it had ordered the players from the Toronto Blue Jays to be euthanized.
As is standard procedure in Canada, people who have outlived their usefulness and no longer provide the expected value to society are promptly scheduled to be exterminated. After failing to bring home a championship, the Blue Jays' roster was deemed to have reached the end of the line.
"It's what's best for all parties," said Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. "They had a great run, they almost pulled it off, but the harsh truth is that the Blue Jays are now more of a drain on resources than what they provide. It's a difficult decision to make, but it's the right one. I've given the official order to have them all euthanized."
Though unconfirmed, reports circulated that the Blue Jays would have been given a reprieve and been allowed to continue living had they been able to defeat the Dodgers. "We gave them an opportunity to keep going," said one member of Parliament who asked to remain anonymous. "They had their chances, both to win Game 7 and to stay alive. They didn't get the win, and unfortunately, sometimes in life, there are consequences. We don't make the rules. Well, actually, we do, but this was the decision, eh?"
At publishing time, the Toronto Blue Jays front office had notified the rest of the team in Major League Baseball that they were in desperate need to refill the entire roster for next season.

That series-saving play in the outfield completely redeemed Pages's dismal plate performance throughout the playoffs. I wonder how many will remember and give credit to Roberts for putting him BACK in center for his defense, only a couple batters earlier.the play at the plate followed by the collision in the outfield.......![]()
Yep great decision by Roberts for sure. On the post game he said he put Pages in cause of his arm to throw out possible sac fly. That series-saving play in the outfield completely redeemed Pages's dismal plate performance throughout the playoffs. I wonder how many will remember and give credit to Roberts for putting him BACK in center for his defense, only a couple batters earlier.
