My '68 Super Bee has a 22" radiator. The options on the car are limited to AM radio, Tflite, tinted glass, Sure-grip, and undercoating. I know the undercoating includes the under hood pad as part of the package. No power steering or air. I've seen an awful lot of Roadrunners, GTX's, Super Bee's and RT's with the 26" radiator. Rarely do I see a 'B' body with the 22" radiator. Does anyone know what the criteria was for using the 22" or 26"? Does the radiator support have a wider opening for the 26" radiator?
I don't have a problem with overheating except in real heavy traffic. Even then, I can deal with it. Just wondering why my car has the 22" rad.
The car was originally delivered in Montana. Maybe that had something to do with it?

All the late 60's B cars that I've seen with AC came with the 26" rad....

I have a '68 Sport Satellite convertible, factory 383/4spd car and it has a 22" radiator.

All B bodies back in the hipo days had a 22" standard except Hemis, yes 440 six packs as well. What triggers the 26" is either A/C, an axle package or the H.D. cooling which also came with the trailer towing package. This has been discussed many times on other websites and this is the correct answer. The 69 A12s had a 26" because they had a 4.10 standard which was the equivlent of an axle package.

The core support is somewhat different in that one side (IIRC it is the passenger side) of the 26" is different. The factory simply replace that side to make the larger opening. I believe the part is now available repo.
