28" tall tire too big for front of 62 Fury ?

my fury has 225/60/15 tires (too small 25.6"). I want to increase Diameter to 28" 235/60/17 or 235/70/15 on all 4 corners. Thoughts ?

Too big for the front on 66-70 b-bodies. Hits the front corner of the fender. Probably the same on your 62

I bought 6.70 x15 Bias ply for my '63. Specs show them at 28.5" height. Hoping they fit the front well. Using 29" Cheaters on the back...

I've got 235/75x15s on the front of my 62 savoy, BUT... the front valence under the front fenders are trimmed back a couple inches. I had 235 70s on, they had lots of room.
I had pics of both in my tablet.... but I killed it, and they're gone.

235/60-16 on my ‘64, 27” OD, plenty of room. Factory dia was 27”.
