i ordered a new one from autozone but it said with ac.....
mine had ac but doesnt now.
think this is a problem?
whats the difference?
 
What car/ motor. The old ones were a bit different if I'm not mistaken.

Yes and no. They will bolt up but LA's had a mechanical fuel pump and Magnums didn't (Magnums are fuel injected and the electric pump is in the tank) The Magnum camshafts and front covers are different (shorter) because of the lack of a fuel pump cam lobe.
 
AC had 6 vanes, non AC had 8 vanes, both 69 and earlier, and 70 and up.
 
i just painted it and was going to put the gasket on the pump with some spray gasket to hold it in place.the gasket fits around 8 holes but there are 2 other holes in this pump.
they are located on the top left and right.one is threaded and the other seems like it will clear a 3/8 bolt.
this is the pump i bought waterpump did i get the wrong one? az site says it fits. it has 8 vanes
