340 to replace 318

Actually going the 360....the 340's are few and in demand. The 360 is on the horizon. I agree after some research I like where I can go with the 318 and after all its mostly for SHOW... I wont be drag racing anytime soon. Overall value of a 360 after cost comparison only makes sense and I dont have to twist bolts on an original 60k engine that I would really prefer to mothball. I'll make a few temporary changes like headers, duals and an 4v intake and call that good enough until I build a 360. Like you said ...the crank advantage getting the torque was obvious.
