Does anyone know if a '66 '67 Charger 383 radiator will work in my '66 Belvedere..I am putting a 440 in the Belvedere. The seller said the numbers on top of the radiator are 278506518398....looked in my 66 parts catalog looks like too many numbers????

Thanks for any help not sure if it will work for me..

Too many numbers. 2785 is good, but not 065. 2785965 is a 67' 22" 318. Do you have 22 or 26" opening?

Mine is 26", waiting on the seller for more information, numbers did not make sense to me either.....He said the car had a 383 but that does not mean it had the right radiator.......
Thanks

That's good. I used a C body big block 26" radiator. Those can be found, and cool a lot better.

you can get a new aluminum 26" rad from ebay for less than $250 with shipping....got one in all 3 Chargers here.

Not all 66 383 Chargers had 26" rads..most had 22" ones which may not be enough for your 440.....and on top of that, it's used....again, not sure if I would trust it

I stand corrected, my car has a 22" radiator now, I am pulling the stock 273 engine and putting in a 440. The radiator in my car now is part no. 2582941....

I would go aluminum then, the original 22" big block radiators tended to overheat even when new.

That's what I am thinking, just looked at Roseville Moparts radiator guide and it looks like the 383 and the 440 22" radiators have a different part number. The one I was looking at is ebay item 221370406626, buy it now $30.00 shipping a little over 30 bucks if someone can use it. Like I said seller said it came out of a 66/67 Charger with a 383. No connection with seller just looked like a good deal if it would have worked...

Thanks for the help guys..
